San Gennaro Village

The village of San Gennaro is placed on the ridge of the boundary with the valley of Pescia di Collodi, at only 14km from Lucca and 50 km from Pisa and 35 km from the well-known beaches of  Versilia.
San Gennaro is a little corner of Tuscany, immersed through olive groove and vineyards, still genuine and all to discover with tinny roads, but full of fascination and history. The ancient village has  a particular town layout which pivots around the parish church.
The church beyond an intrinsec importance, enclose a fascinating angel in terracotta recently attributed to Leonadro da Vinci.
The most  buildings of the village dates back to 16th centure and are all built in series, having similar caracteristics.
As well as San Gennaro the surrounding villages of Petrognano, Tofori, Camigliano, Montecarlo and Valgiano are all located on the “Strada del Vino” ( Wine Route), a scenic, winding road that takes you to many of the wine-producing vineyards and olive groves, most of them with charming restaurants where you can taste the tipical dishes of the tuscan cuisine, in a lovely scenic setting.
  
 At only 300 m from the village is Belvedere property, placed in a beautiful panoramic position of the rolling hills of Lucca and the most important point is that there aren't other houses directly close to the property, offering to its guests a complet privacy, far away from the city noise in  an excelent  place for a relaxing holiday.
